Ohio ev charging stations

According to a release from DriveOhio — an initiative of the Ohio Department of Transportation — seven new EV chargers are available now, increasing the new stations made available since this time last year. That total stands at 13 now throughout the state.

“Opening these charging stations along our interstates provides EV travelers with increased fueling options that are convenient and reliable this holiday season and beyond,” said ODOT Director Pamela Boratyn in the release.

“Through our outreach, we know that availability is a concern for many drivers, so continuing to implement more fast-charging options is key to addressing our customers’ needs,” said Preeti Choudhary, DriveOhio Executive Director in the release.

The new EV charging stations include multiple ports, allowing for up to four vehicles to charge per station. With charging station ports equipped to provide at least 150 kilowatts of power, a full charge can be obtained in about 30 minutes.
