We started out as a husband and wife team, growing now to have 10 employees and are currently looking for more. Based in Stradone, Co Cavan we are a truly local company, employing locally, sourcing material and goods locally, as well as working with local partners in the Cavan area and surrounding counties to bring energy efficiency to the masses. As we continue to grow we always remain as a local Cavan company, certified Guaranteed Irish and proud.
Since 2009, we have installed renewable energy solutions to over 8,500 homes and businesses, saving an estimated 3.4GW, reducing the amount of carbon in the environment by 1.4 million tonne. (equivalent to almost 1,000 homes powered for one year)
We know we can make a difference to the lives of our community and outer counties by helping them make the switch, and we aim to install 250 heat pumps annually, as well as 200 Solar PV systems and other technologies.
2023 was another successful year for Hybrid Energy Group, and one where we saw a massive increase in interest in renewable energy technologies, and a proud year to be shortlisted for two awards, and winning renewable energy company of the year with the Business All-Stars 2023.
This year we saw grant funding increasing for farms with the TAMS 3 grant offering a 60% grant off total cost of Solar PV installation, up to €90,000, on systems up to 62kW. The grant closed in June, however, we expect it to reopen in 2024, so please stay tuned to our socials and website.
0% VAT on Solar PV systems for homes was introduced this year, which saw a huge boost to home installations, and now from January 2024, all schools can avail of 0% VAT also.
This year saw us work on Solar PV projects every day across Ireland, with new build and retrofit homes and businesses installing solar panels. We worked on 250 housing units, 58 retrofit projects, and 62 new build units. Here we installed solar panels, underfloor heating and plumbing services, heat pump installation, mechanical ventilation installation, EV chargers and more.
