True Blue Power announced a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the company’s TFC4000 Frequency Converter on Gulfstream G450, G550, G650 and G650ER aircraft. The TFC4000 is the lightest and quietest frequency converter in its power class. It provides up to 4,000 watts of wall outlet power to cabin equipment, and is a direct and more reliable replacement for existing GE Aviation Systems 717220-1, 717220-2, 717220-2R and Avionic Instruments 1-002-0102-2444 and 1-002-0102-2052 frequency converters.

True Blue Power today introduced the company’s new TS28 EmergencyBattery Power Supply (EBPS). Designed for a 28V electrical bus, the TS28 provides DC power for aircraftloads, such as emergency lighting and critical equipment in the event of main aircraft power failure. It is a direct replacement for Radiant Battery Power Supply (CBS28-1) on Citation 550 / 560 / 650 / 680 / 680A / 700 aircraft.
WICHITA, Kan. — True Blue Power, the first company to receive FAA TSO certification for lithium-ion batteries, announced it has added a 60 amp-hour lithium-ion battery to its Gen5 product line. The TB60 saves up to 85 pounds per battery, significantly reducing aircraft empty weight and increasing useful load.
“This battery is a beast. It’s our most powerful battery designed for the most powerful aircraft,” explained Van Winter, Market Development Manager for True Blue Power. “It’s ideal for larger Part 25 aircraft, Part 29 rotorcraft, military and UAS platforms needing higher amp-hours for longer-running emergency and back-up power,” Winter explained.
The TB60 is certified to TSO-C179b, RTCA DO-311A, RTCA DO-160G and RTCA DO-178C Design Assurance Level A. The battery delivers superior reliability and performance and offers on-condition maintenance. The result is zero capacity checks and reduced maintenance costs by up to 90 percent. It is ideal for use in rugged environments and outperforms all other aircraft batteries in extreme temperatures, from -40°C to 70°C.
