This has contributed to increase of 25.53 seniti per litre from the last regulated price of diesel in October 2023.

The new electricity tariff to adopt by Tonga Power Limited is $0.9603 and will be review on a quarterly basis with respect to the movement in diesel prices and on an annual basis according to the movements in inflation.
NUKU''ALOFA, TONGA (1st November 2019) — Tonga Power Limited hereby notifies all electricity consumers in Tonga that the Electricity Commission has approved the new power tariff of 81.20 seniti per kWh, an increase of 4.1% from 79.90 seniti, effective from 1st November 2019.
The new starting tariff of 90.03 seniti/kWh is the new electricity tariff adopted by Tonga Power Limited, effective on 1 April 2024. The Renewable Energy (RE) Sources of TPL ''s total monthly power generation impact on their prices is included in this tariff calculation.
