The newly installed EV charging stations at MEC headquarters and Public School System parking lot are part of our ongoing commitment to create an ecological balance for our employees, customers, and the community. We intend to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles, minimize carbon emissions, and safeguard the environment through accessible and convenient charging infrastructure.
The account will also keep a record of each EV charging history over time. This information can be shared on the user''s smartphone. The charging history will be used to help support climate change data for the RMI.

To further support sustainable e-mobility, MEC plans to expand the network of EV charging stations on Majuro. "Our aim is to work with donor partners to install rapid charging stations at key public areas, such as the airport, supermarkets, etc., in order to support the growing number of electric vehicle owners and promote cleaner transportation alternatives."
