The completed energy renovation of the Nursing Hospital, which is part of the Ljubljana University Medical Centre, and the renovation of the interior design of the premises have provided suitable conditions for nursing activities and palliative care. The fire safety of the building has also been improved and the building''s service life has been extended.

The energy renovation has increased the efficiency of the external building envelope. The renovation has made the operation of the Nursing Hospital more environmentally friendly in terms of efficient energy consumption, reduced costs and improved living conditions for patients. More than 50 additional beds have been created through the interior design of the premises.

Predmet investicijskega projekta je celovita energetska sanacija stavb UKC Ljubljana – Glavna stavba Hospital in starega dela stavbe UKC Ljubljana – Diagnostično-terapevtska služba (DTS). Stavba DTS zajema tudi novi del stavbe, ki pa ni predmet tega projekta. Stavbi se nahajata na lokaciji Zaloška cesta 7, 1000 Ljubljana. Obe stavbi se obravnavata celostno kot ena stavba, ki jo v nadaljevanju naslavljamo kot UKC Ljubljana – Hospital oz. Hospital.

Obstoječe stanje objekta: Osrednja zgradba UKC Ljubljana, Hospital je bila zgrajena leta 1974, diagnostično terapevtski servisni (DTS) del stavbe pa nekaj let kasneje, leta 1976. Obstoječi objekti, ki so predmet investicije, so energijsko zelo potratni. Glede na izvedeno analizo gradbene fizike spada stavba pod razred G, kar jo uvršča pod izjemno potratne stavbe.

S celovitim energetskim konceptom pa bodo sanirani objekti imeli bistveno nižjo energijsko porabo, saj se bo le-ta znižala skupno za okvirno 54% pri daljinskem ogrevanju in 20% pri porabi električne energije, posledično se bodo znižali tudi stroški vzdrževanja objektov.

Ljubljana, 15 June 2021 – Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project COVID19 – Integrated energy-saving renovation of the Hospital building of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana. Total project value of EUR 50 million will be covered by the European Regional Development Fund under the React-EU initiative. The project, implemented by the Ministry of Health, is already the sixth project financed by the React-EU grants under the NextGenerationEU recovery plan.
